Mary’s son, Matt Liquori, was a Union College Minerva Fellow at Engeye from July 2018 to April 2019. She learned everything that she could about the clinic and the community while he was there. She sent and received pen pal letters between her class and the Scholars. When Matt returned to the US, he continued to be involved in the Engeye organization and led the last medical team to visit in 2020. Mary continued to learn more about and support Engeye through Matt’s experiences, and joined the Fundraising and Communications Committee in October of 2020. Mary is a fourth grade Math and Science teacher in Bethel, Connecticut.
